| Requirement Analysis |
| This is the phase when
we seek an in-depth understanding of the client’s
requirements. The purpose of the multimedia
creation and its target audience are determining
factors of the final product. |
| Planning |
| The planning stage is
crucial one, which forms the basis of the
final multimedia development. The objective
of the client, timeframe of the project, workforce
dedicated to the project, tools and technology
to be employed for the purpose, medium on
which the product will be delivered, etc.
are issues to be considered during the planning
process. |
 |
| Storyboarding |
| This may be viewed as
an extension of the planning phase. At this
stage the actual product to be developed is
conceptualized and planned by means of a storyboard.
The structure and movement of the creation
is drawn in pen and paper. The prototypes
may also be developed at this stage and sent
to the customer for feedback. |
| Development |
| The actual presentation
or creation takes shape during this phase.
The audio, video, graphics, etc. are all developed.
The developed constituents are in formats
that can be converted into the pre-defined
format of the final product. |
| Compilation |
| During the compilation
stage the individual constituents developed
in the previous stage are compiled, as per
the storyboard, and endowed with the final
form of the presentation. |
| Testing |
| The multimedia product
developed and compiled is now tested from
both the functional and aesthetic points of
view and the necessary changes are made in
order to get the final error-free creation
ready. |
| Final Delivery |
| The tested multimedia
creation is now out into the pre-determined
format and transferred onto the medium desired
by the client. A back-up version of the constituents
as well as the complete product is retained
for recode and reference. |
